It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Richardson, Snorton, Johnson, Moore, Caranda, families announce the home-going of the Matriarch of the Richardson family, their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother, aunt, and cousin, in her 100th year, Mother Matilda J. Snorton- Richardson.

Mom, Sister Tilda, Grandma, Aunt/Cousin Tilda, and Teacher Matilda, who was affectionately called by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, cousins, and former students, departed this life on Thursday evening, March 28, 2024.

She is survived by her Children:

Daughters: Thelma Johnson, Lydia Richardson, Louise Washington, Euphemia Sarno (Noah), Valerie Thompson (Samuel).

Sons: John Richardson, Lasannah Richardson, Henry Richardson (Mary), Bishop Sam Richardson Jr. (Janje), Franklin Richardson, Winston Richardson, and Martin Richardson (Louise). Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mother, Matilda J. Snorton-Richardson, was predeceased in death by her husband Deacon Samuel B. Richardson Sr., parents, Mr. D. Frank Snorton and Mary Louise Johnson, sisters, Beatrice Brumskine-Snorton and Maria Snorton – Marshall, brother,

Amos Snorton Sr., and beloved daughter, Constance Harris. May you rest in peace while you will be greatly missed.
